Nodding scarlet with yellow-centered nodding flowers elevate above the lovely green foliage. Hummingbirds love this striking red columbine. Native wildflower of eastern North America.
First cultivated in mid-1600's.
Will self-seed, but should not be considered invasive. May go dormant in hot summer months. Cultivate soil around base in late fall. Will tolerate a sunny aspect but prefers partial shade.
